Leeside excel at 2025 Junior National Classification in Dublin

13-09-2025 - Leeside traveled to Dublin for the 2025 National Junior Classification tournament in Dublin, achieving excellent results across a range of age groups.

Leeside Table Tennis have two Irish number ones!!

Victoria was 1st in the U11 Girls and 2nd in the U13 Girls, only losing to Samanta in the deciding match.

Samanta won the U13 Girls without dropping a set and came 3rd in the U15 Girls losing in the semi-final to the eventual winner.

Julia was runner up in the U11 Girls to Victoria in a tight match

Jamie had a great tournament, coming 2nd in the U11 Boys losing out deuce in the 5th set in a fantastic match with Taha. In the U13 Boys Jamie did brilliantly to come 3rd

Jayden and Stepan both came second in their groups to qualify for the U13 Boys, with Stepan finishing joint 9th

Jayden, Alon and Gabriel all qualified from their U15 Boys groups, with Gabriel losing to the eventual winner Adam Hedderly.

Alon also had a great run in the U17 Boys plate losing out at QF to one of the finalists. All of them will have learned a lot from the experience.

Caoimhe wasn’t feeling well, but competed well. We got glimpses of what she will do throughout the season.

Sean had a very good day beating several quality players to be 2nd in the U19 Boys Plate. Sean exceeded his target by doing even better in the U17 Boys beating  Kevin 3-0 in the final of the plate.

Conall qualified in the U19 Boys. Narrowly losing in a playoff match in the 5th set. He finished 17th. Conall had a remarkable U17 Boys; qualified from his group winning all his matches. Conall beat the number 8th seed 3-0 in the process. Conall’s target of top 16 was also surpassed with a great win in the last sixteen, before losing out in the quarter finals finishing 5th.
